Nine Days

A collection of candid images as a visual journal of nine special nocturnal social events over three months in 2008, utilising the camera and flashgun as a tool to document and compile an essence of something musically memorable. This is a reflection of a less ostentatious time; no camera phones and with all in attendance, simply there to be entertained for a relatively brief period of time by musical innovators, DJ’s and a stray bunch of X-rated b-boys with their own Cuban flavoured soundtrack, presented in the now dormant Cornerhouse by Messrs Denney, Guthrie, Darbyshire, Peacock & Bell, ambitiously showcasing ground-breaking global talent to a small town in the corner of Europe.
